The driven tools on the vertical holder are controlled with the new B axis. Drilling and milling can thus be carried out in various angular positions. A simultaneous 4-axis interpolation of the B axis allows the milling of complex contours. The swivel range of the B axis is 135 degrees, so the B axis can be used for both front and rear machining. A further important feature is the ability to change between the long-turning and the short-turning. The guide bush can be disassembled or assembled in a short change-over time. This function becomes standard. The tapping spindle is equipped with an additional Y-axis. This means that 6 tools (3 stations driven) are available for the front machining and 8 stations (4 stations driven) for back machining.
